Bend, Oregon! It’s our second favorite city in the PNW because of the beauty, small(ish) town feel, proximity to the mountain AND the desert, loads of things to do and just an all around great vibe. We spent the weekend at The Riverhouse, which is a gorgeous hotel right along the Deschutes River. We were there this past summer and it’s even cozier when it’s cold out. Riverhouse is the perfect spot to adventure from or if you need to slow it down, just sleep late and eat yummy food all weekend. Zero judgments here! Our room had a king size bed, faced the river and had a real fireplace. Yes, please!

High Desert Museum to see cool exhibits and also live animals! Including otters! Great for kiddos and a refuge center for injured animals.
